~"Death, thou art but another birth,
Freeing the spirit from the dogs of earth."

~"Ere sin could harm, or sorrow fade,
Death came w/ friendly care,
The opening bud to heaven conveyed,
And bade it blossom there."

~"This lovely but, so young, so fair,
Called hence by early doom,
Just came to show how sweet a flower
In Paradise would bloom."

~"Where immortal spirits reign,
There we shall meet again."

~"Life's duty done, as sinks the day,
Light from its bad the spirit flies;
While heaven & earth combine to say,
How blessed the righteous when he dies."
